Eleven employees joined Serco’s ’25 Year Club’ at Forth Valley Royal Hospital on 29 July and each received a special pin to proudly display on their uniform during a celebratory afternoon tea ceremony.

Entry to this exclusive club is granted when employees have achieved 25 years’ service. The new members have been part of Serco’s facilities management team since the new-build Larbert hospital opened in 2011, but before that worked in various roles within the NHS.

Rae Kelso, Serco Administrator at Forth Valley Royal Hospital said:  “I’ve greatly enjoyed the varied nature of my role in such a fast-paced environment over the last 25 years.  Having worked across four different regional hospitals since the start of my career, I look forward to remaining with Serco at Forth Valley Royal Hospital until my retirement.”

The annual award event is now in its fourth year and the new entrants were congratulated by existing ‘25 Year Club’ members, including those who have retired, who also joined the teatime celebration.

There are currently 109 members out of Serco’s 700-strong team at Forth Valley Royal Hospital who are members of the ’25 Year Club’. Together they have an impressive 3,279 years combined service.  Four have over 40 years’ service with the longest serving member, Douglas McLachlan, Serco’s Executive Chef, racking up a grand total of 45 years.
